Our Mission

The Marshall County Adult Education service was started in 2023 to provide Northern Indiana residents a path to educational opportunities. Classes are offered free to Marshall County residents.
Our services include:

Official GED Public Test Center
English as a Second Language
Career Certification


STEP 1: Registration Information for Classes and Career Certification Trainings:

STEP 2: New Student Orientation:

We require ALL students to attend our New Student Orientation.
Please call our office to schedule your orientation appointment.

English speaking students and career certification students (Welding, CNC and HVAC) orientation is held on Monday & Wednesday 10-1:00 or 5:00pm-8:00pm.
Students must attend both days.
They will be introduced to staff, learn attendance requirements and rules, and take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE), so we have their current Educational Functioning Level.


Spanish-speaking students (ESL) students must attend new student orientation on the Tuesday during the orientation week.
ESL orientation is only one day.
They take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) Comprehensive Language Assessment - English (CLAS-E), so we can place the English learner in the appropriate class -- beginner, intermediate, or advanced.


Per new State & Federal rules, ALL STUDENTS must provide 1 & only one of the following: Approved Documentation for Adult Education.

Beginning on September 10, 2025, all current and new students must provide ONE of the following pieces of documentation to be eligible to participate in Adult Education, per new federal & state policies:

  1. Real I.D. (has the star in the corner)
  2. U.S. Passport
  3. U.S. Birth Certificate
  4. U.S. Social Security Number
  5. Certificate of Naturalization
  6. Lawful Permanent Resident ( Green Card )
  7. Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) - must be on government document, not just the number
  8. Immigrant with an I-551 stamp in their foreign passport
  9. Refugee with an I-766 Employment Authorization Document
